How SmartShorts handles faces
We never keep your photos. We never show a face its owner said no to. We never sell or train on your data.
What we store
Photo links, capture time, face positions and face "fingerprints" (mathematical vectors, not images), picture-search vectors and reel videos you create.
What we never store
Your original photos. They are fetched into memory for analysis and discarded.
Consent levels
Approved (appears normally), Blur (appears with the face irreversibly blurred), Exclude (any photo containing them is never used).
Unknown faces
Blurred by default. The workspace owner can change this per event.
Withdrawing
A guest can be removed at any time. Their face fingerprint is deleted and future reels follow the event default.
Isolation
Every workspace is separated at the database level (row-level security), not just in the app.
Deletion
Owners can delete a workspace and everything in it. Photos in your own storage are untouched.
